SNOW REMOVAL

The City of Odebolt is now accepting bids for snow removal on City property for the 2024/2025 season. The bid sheet must be used!! It can be picked at Odebolt City Hall, 205 W 2nd St. or you can call and have it emailed to you by calling 712-668-2231. Bids must be submitted by 12 p.m. on Sept. 5, 2024.

The bids are Per property. If snow is removed more than one time on the property per day, a phone call approval will need to be made as per signed contract. A submission of the certificate of liability insurance of $1,000,000 or more must be submitted with the bid.

RENTAL LAND

Notice is hereby given that the City of Odebolt is accepting bids for a three-year rental agreement for a tenant to rent the following described real estate from the City of Odebolt:

 

Approximately 17 crop acres located in: 

• The Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4); and 

• The North Half (N 1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4); and 

• The Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4); and The Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4); and The West Half (W 1/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SEl/4), All in Section 28, Township 87 North, Range 38 West of the 5th P.M., Sac County, Iowa.

The rental agreement will be awarded to the bidder that submits the highest bid. The bid should be made in the format of price per acre for 17 acres. Bids must be delivered, in hand, to City Hall of Odebolt by the 27th day of September, 2024. Bids will be opened at the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting of Odebolt following the bidding submission deadline. The winning bidder will need to sign a farm lease with the City of Odebolt on the standard Iowa bar form for agricultural rental. The lease will begin March 1, 2025, and terminate on February 28, 2028. The City of Odebolt reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
